Kedar Mehta is a research group leader of the Energy for Buildings and Settlements (International Context), and doctoral candidate working at the Institute of new Energy Systems of the University of applied science Ingolstadt, Germany. Being the research group leader, he is responsible for technical supervision of all international projects (mainly in Central Asia and Africa) at the institute. His research focus is sustainable community development, rural livelihood, integration of renewable energy on a building and community level, building energy efficiency, rural electrification and e-mobility. His PhD research aims to improve heat energy services of high-altitude rural communities of Kyrgyzstan with sustainable and holistic energy planning.
